Title Detail
Format
Competition will be 36 holes of stroke play (Two 18-hole rounds). The field will consist of the 78 players who enter with the lowest current handicap indexes at the time of the entry deadline date. The contestant with the lowest gross score for 36 holes will be the RDGA Mid-Amateur Champion. In the event of a tie for the championship, a hole by hole play-off will be held immediately upon completion of the final round. 
 
The One Ball Rule will be in effect.
Carts
All contestants must use motorized carts.  The cost of the cart is included in the entry fee.  
All players are to post their scores to the electronic scorecard in each cart.  We plan on using on-line scoring for this event and we need all contestants cooperation.

 

Cell Phones
Cell Phones are prohibited during the round of play.
Automatic disqualification.
Eligibility
Entries are open to all amateur male golfers who have attained age 35 as of July 9, 2008 and are current members in good standing at RDGA member clubs.

One Ball Condition
During a stipulated round, the balls a player plays must be of the same brand and model as detailed by a single entry on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls
Practice
There is no scheduled practice round.  To arrange a practice round, contact the Golf Shop at Ravenwood Golf Club (585-924-6711).  Greens fees for a practice round are to be paid by the contestants.
Purse

Purse is issued in Pro Shop Gift Certificates.

RDGA Code of Conduct
The RDGA and its member clubs believe that participation in RDGA amateur events is a privilege that includes responsibilities.  
Contestants must be amateurs and members in good standing at a RDGA club.  They must adhere to all RDGA tournament requirements including Handicap Index®, age, gender (for selected events), appropriate golf attire, mandatory use of riding carts at selected events, and local host club rules that will apply to players during a competition.
USGA Rules will govern all play in RDGA events including Local Rules noted on the Notice to Players at each competition.  All players should familiarize themselves with Section I. Etiquette: Behavior on the Course, in the current Rules of Golf book.
The spirit of the game relies on the integrity of each individual to show consideration for other players and abide by the Rules.  All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, regardless of their competitive spirit.  Understanding and adhering to accepted golf safety precautions, Pace of Play guidelines and care of the golf course are RDGA requirements for each player.  The RDGA reserves the right to disqualify a player at any time before or during competition in an RDGA event for any breach of the requirements.
RDGA Refund Policy
Refunds of tournament entry fees will be made in accordance with the following rules
1.  If the player withdraws from a tournament BEFORE his entry has been confirmed, the entry fee will not be charged to his credit card.
2.  If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER his entry has been confirmed but BEFORE the entry deadline has passed, he will be   granted a refund of the full entry fee LESS an administrative fee of $15.00. [The refund amount will be credited back to the player's credit card.
3.  If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER his entry has been confirmed and AFTER the entry deadline has passed, a refund MAY be granted (LESS an administration fee of $15.00)  in the sole discretion of the RDGA Tournament Committee.
4.  If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER the competition has commenced, no refund will be granted.
